Privacy Policy

FitLog has no account system, advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. The developer does not sell your personal information.

Information stored by FitLog

FitLog stores the information you choose to log, including weight, food, workouts, goals, and reminder settings. This information is stored on your device and, when iCloud is available, synchronized through your private iCloud database. The private database belongs to your Apple Account and is not accessible to the FitLog developer.

Apple Health

If you choose to connect Apple Health, FitLog reads step-count totals so it can display them on the Today and Progress screens. FitLog does not write data to Apple Health, does not copy Apple Health step data into FitLog or iCloud, and does not use Health data for advertising or tracking.

Food and exercise services

When you scan or enter a barcode, the barcode is sent to Open Food Facts to retrieve public product information. When you search for a generic food, your search terms are sent to USDA FoodData Central to retrieve public nutrition information. When you first view an exercise image, the image is downloaded from the public Free Exercise DB repository on GitHub and cached on your device.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, FitLog schedules local notifications on your device. FitLog does not use a remote notification service to send these reminders.

Your choices and deletion

You can export or permanently erase your FitLog history from Settings. Erasing data inside FitLog also synchronizes that deletion through iCloud. Deleting the app removes its local database and cached images, while private iCloud history may remain available for restoration unless you erase it from FitLog first or remove FitLog data through iCloud settings.

Children

FitLog is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when FitLog’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
